Ultrasound Pics {taken at 16 weeks}

I have been waiting to get these for two weeks!
They were worth the wait. She looks perfect. I am so in love already.

Leg? Not Sure here.

There is absolutely NO denying that she is a girl.

Blowing Bubbles?

Arm up… just like her brother did.

Not sure what I am looking at here…but it looks uncomfortable.

Sweet little thing sucking her thumb.

Another between the leg shot.

Baby Maynord Gender Reveal

Hello Blogger Friends! I am here with some incredibly exciting news…Gender is revealed! This past Thursday I had an elective ultrasound at 16 weeks. The ultrasound tech, Jessie, came to our home and hooked up the sonogram machine to our TV. I absolutely loved having this laid back intimate experience without a doctor's office on the other side of the door. After some close examination, she said she was 100% sure that she knew the gender. After some discussion between Brandon and myself, we (well, Brandon---I was having a cow to know RIGHT THEN) decided that we were not going to find out the gender during the ultrasound, and instead have Jessie write it down and seal it in an envelope for us to open on Friday at our Gender Reveal party.
The sealed envelope with the results.

Party City took the sealed envelope and filled our "surprise" box with balloons…Blue or Pink? This was the longest 48 hour wait EVER. I passed the time by decorating our house for the "BIG" reveal party.

FINALLY Friday came and I was incredibly anxious…I wonder why?
Our amazing friends and family came to support us and wait for the reveal.

14/15 Week "Bump"date

Hellooooo friends! I am back to give my bi-weekly "bumpdate". Look away if you are sick of them ;) Here we go...

How far along am I?  15 weeks (fourth month)

Pregnancy Highlights so far: Feeling the first "I definitely know it's baby" movement! Thats right, I can feel this sweet thing bumping and wiggling.

Weight gain? Still down 2 pounds from the beginning. I feel good, just not overly hungry…YET.

Cravings? SALT! I love me some salty foods right now. Sweets are good too, but I lean towards salty and spicy by far.

Gender: September 3, with the big reveal on September 5th (as long as little bean cooperates). I am STILL feeling BOY, however I am now about 80/20. The closer it gets to time, the more I don't know for sure. ONE WEEKEEEEK!!!

Movement: Oh yesnot every second, but definitely everyday. Those sweet little bumps and thumps are such a wonderful feeling.

Symptoms: AwfulI mean KILLER, BRINGS ME TO TEARS back pain. It seriously stops me in my tracks at times. The worst is getting up from a laying down position. It takes me a good 5 minutes to get out of the bed in the morning. I asked Dr. Gernt about it and she said the pain is likely due to a "tilted uterus" putting pressure on my lower back. Good news is the uterus only gets bigger oh wait

Dr. Update: We saw Dr. Gernt on Monday. Everything was great. Heart rate was 174. A very active, wide awake little booger! We go back in late September.

Goodbye First Trimester...

While some sources say the first trimester begins at 14 weeks, there are others that say 13 weeks. However, I have decided to go ahead and give that first yucky trimester the boot as of today. In my last post I bragged about not having any morning sickness with this pregnancy, however, at 12 weeks on the dot, it came for a short, yet unwanted visit. While "it" only stayed for about a week, I was happy to see it go. Bless those women who are sick for 9 months straight. You should receive an award. Anyway… I am 13 weeks pregnant…moving right along. This pregnancy is flying by. Yes, I know I have a long ways to go, but it does seem like it is going by pretty quickly. It could be the start of school, or the fact that I am chasing around a 3 year old, but I rarely have a moment to really think about the fact that a tiny human is growing inside of me. So here is my update for this post…

How far along am I?  13 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights so far: Still listening to the heartbeat at home. It has gotten so loud and strong sounding. I love it. I know exactly where that little bean sits, not nearly as low as before. It seems as though he/she is relocating more to the belly region.

Weight gain? I actually am down 2 pounds from the very beginning. I will relish in this for a short while…because the weight is coming…AHHH!

Cravings? Sour Punch Straws and chips & salsa (from Chili's preferably).

Gender: September 3, with the big reveal on September 5th (as long as little bean cooperates). I am STILL feeling BOY, not wavering…a very strong feeling.

Movement: I have felt a few little bumps, but I am still thinking it is probably me imagining things. I am hoping within the next few weeks, I will be able to say I feel something.

Symptoms: That morning sickness monster came for a short visit, and I have had some killer back pain.
Dr Visits: We go back on Monday, August 25th for a check-up. It should be short and sweet!

 12 weeks

13 weeks…baby is the size of a plum!
