CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES!!!

I love hand-me-downs! Becky found some maternity clothes for me today! 53 pieces to be exact! WOW!! I am sooo excited! Who knew it could be so fun getting this fat!?! Now I need to purge the college clothes. I'm not kidding anybody wearing that stuff! Haha. THANKS AGAIN BECKY!

We find out on February 14th. Let's hope this baby cooperates and isn't shy! 

If it all works out we will know what our little sweetheart will be on Valentine's Day!

Go Eagles!

We went to the Van Buren County High School basketball game last night. I have never seen anything like it! We are talking the Cupid Shuffle and fist fights! I forgot how much fun high school games could be! Haha. I cheered so loud my head hurt. It was a great victory of 85-60! Go Eagles! We had a great time!

A letter to my baby...

My baby,

I write this letter to share with you how I am feeling. You are all I think about. When I wake up I think about how I can’t wait for your arrival. When I go to sleep I dream about you. Will you be a boy or a girl? What are you experiencing inside of me? Are you as anxious to come as I am? Do you hear me talk? Do you feel my emotions? How will you make your debut into this world? What will you look like?

I hope you have my smile and your daddy’s eyes. I want you to have my sense of humor and your daddy’s brains. I want you to be ambitious and committed. I want you to laugh and have a good time. I hope you have a big heart that loves deeply and unconditionally. However, I want you to guard it and keep it safe.

My sweet first baby this world can be so mean. Please know that I will do anything to protect you. You are my life, my heart and my soul. No matter where this life takes us, you will always be my number one.

I think that you really wanted to be born. People try for years and struggle with having babies. You demanded to be created and I love you so much for that. You are like me already! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, it is good to know what you want.

I have always heard that when a mother holds her baby in her arms for the first time that the love she has becomes overwhelming. My baby, I already love you so much it hurts. I can’t wait to meet you and tell you that I love you for the first time and kiss your sweet little face.

Until that moment though, I want you to grow and thrive, kick and flip, and stay safe and warm inside of me. I will think about you everyday. I will pray for you and love you until the day we meet.

Winter Wonder Land

HEARTBEAT!

I got my fetal doppler yesterday! I tried to find the heartbeat the first time and I was all over the place. I didn't know where to listen and I was getting very frustrated. So I took a break and ate some dinner and read some tips to hearing the heartbeat. Right before I went to bed I told myself I would try one more time and then I would put it up. (I am such a worrier and all it was doing was stressing me out) Well as you can see, I found the baby's heartbeat right away! WOW... it was amazing. I just laid on the couch with this huge smile on my face. Brandon listened for a minute but I was pretty selfish with the headphones! Haha. The doppler detected a heartbeat at 169 BPM. I have always heard that girls hearts beat at 160 or higher but we will see. :) I couldn't be happier!

Boredom

We all had a little cabin fever with all of the snow. 9 solid days at home was pushing it. I never thought I would actually be EXCITED to go back to work. Believe it or not I was tired of watching TV. (I never thought that would happen since I am a HUGE TV junkie) Norman watched as the world passed by. :)

Chips and Salsa NOW!

Last night I wanted chips and salsa. Not just ANY chips and salsa... it HAD to be from Chili's. Well I tried to eat the chips and salsa we had at the house. GROSS! If there was a chips and salsa fan group I would join it! Why is it that I am so incredibly hungry but nothing sounds good. There is light at the end of this tunnel right? Lets hope so :)

Baby Maynord

So most of you know that we are expecting. Our little one will make "its" debut at the beginning of August. We heard the heartbeat last week. It was breathtaking. So breathtaking in fact that I ordered an at home Fetal Doppler so I can hear the baby all the time. It will officially be my new favorite past time! What is more fun? :)
