Savannah Trip - Oct. 2013

You have heard me say it before, but... Savannah…oh how we love that city! In early October 2013 Brandon and I went on another trip (our 5th total) to our favorite place. This time we went with our good friends The Kellys. This was Marty and Melissa's first time visiting, and they left with the same feeling that we did…"When are we going back?!" We ate at some of our favorite restaurants (The Olde Pink House and Rocks on the River, just to name a couple) and we took 2 different ghost tours. It seems that they are the same stories each time, just different interpretations. Regardless, its a must do each time we go. Here are some pictures from our trip.

This picture is terrible quality… but I had to share.
We had just arrived and were SO excited!

Colonial Park Cemetery
Also a must if visiting Savannah. The tombstones have so much history.
I could spend hours walking around and reading each of them.

I'm not sure we were ready for this one.

 Much better!

Model of the city. It was an audio tour, very interesting!
Savannah Theatre

Waiting for our ghost tour guide!

So really… "When are we going back!?!?"

October 2013 {A Month in Review}

Well since it is a blustery, cold, snowy day and we are stuck here at home (and I really mean stuck…that van isn't making it out of the driveway for a while) I thought I would do a little blogging. Owen is playing in the floor with his trains and seems to be pretty content for a while. So lets travel back to October 2013, shall we? This is, yet again, a photo dump…but there are lots of exciting pictures so hold on to your hats! Here we go…

This child LOVES stuffed animals. I know most parents despise them…
but I think I love them as much as Owen does!

A little Fall Break smoothie run. I gave him a drink of mine, but I never got it back….
Sweet little smoothie thief!

Hair cut #2. This one was not very good. That poor woman really did a number on his hair.
Thank goodness it has grown out since then! He is still so handsome sitting in that chair!

 Train, trains, and MORE trains!
They have taken over our living room…and our lives.

It is starting to get chillier towards the end of October.
We had one last visit to the park for the season.

National Chemistry Day at work… thought I would throw these in.
My 2nd grade kiddos loved it!

Wrapping up the month of October… Owen's school Halloween treats.
"Peek-a-Boo! A sweet treat for you! -From, Owen"

Stay tuned for some more specific events from October. (a trip to Savannah, 3rd Annual Harris Halloween Bash, and family pictures with a special announcement!)

September 2013 {A Month in Review}

Only 5 months behind… not bad! I am reviewing the month of September in pictures and captions. (Really its an iPhone dump.) Seriously, what would we all do without iPhones?! I know I wouldn't remember anything about 5 months ago, thats for sure!

Owen at Center Hill Lake. This kid loves the boat and all things water.

Owen and Jackson have a sleep over. While the daddies are away, the mommies will play!
Notice their red solo cups? Haha, Just Kidding!

During those last few really warm days, we spent SO much time outside. I think I am getting seasonal depression just looking through these pictures. I miss summer and early fall!!!

Lilly and Owen's Date Night… look how they've grown!

Mommy and Daddy have a boat day…sans kiddo!
He looks pretty good behind the wheel!

A day at the park with Jackson.
By the way… trying to time it where both babies go down the slide at the same time, um easier than it sounds…obviously.

After such a busy month… a little cuddle time with daddy is good.

There was September in a nut shell… a pretty good month!
