SavannAHHHHH!!!!

Every time Brandon and I go to Savannah, I fall more and more in love with the city. I love the beautiful old buildings and homes. I love the rich history that surrounds it. I love the people and the laid back life style. No one is in a hurry (except for us- when we were late for our reservations). The weather is (usually) gorgeous and the food is phenomenal. If you have never been...GO!

We arrived on Friday mid morning to rain and cold. We were both a little tired so we decided to spend the day gorging on food and drinks. We found the best little pub and hung out there for quite sometime. We even split a deep fried moon pie! We then checked in to the bed and breakfast. To.Die.For! We loved it. The facility was amazing. The staff could not have been nicer. They made reservations for us. Poured us wine. Waited on us hand and foot. There were several other couples staying over the weekend as well. We all hit it off very quickly. Hours spent lounging in the main room sipping wine and sharing Savannah stories. So incredibly relaxing.

Saturday we went on a trolly tour and spent the rest of the day meandering the streets, fantasizing about owning a home there, and soaking up the beautiful 75 degree weather. Our dinners were fantastic. We ate at some lovely establishments recommended by the Inn keeper. Saturday night we slipped into a pub to grab a quick drink before our scheduled ghost tour. An incredibly nice Savannah couple were at the bar as well, enjoying a night away from their little boy. We started talking and needless to say, we skipped our ghost tour and talked with them until the wee hours of the morning. A fabulous and unplanned night. We even swapped info and plan on staying in touch!

This trip was the most laid back relaxing vacation I have ever had. I just wished it had lasted a little longer. However, seeing my baby boy was enough to make me glad I was home. We sure did miss that face! We plan on going back with him next time.

  1. I love Savannah too; love your pictures, and I want to retire there. I'm closer to that than you.
