17/18 Week Bumpdate

How far along am I?  18 weeks (exactly 5 months from today is the due date!)

Pregnancy Highlights so far: Feeling Anna Kate move from the outside.

Weight gain? Still nothing yet. I didn't gain much in the first 20 weeks with Owen either and the last half I packed it on. I now know how hard it is to get "it" off so I am trying to be much more cautious this time around.

Cravings? Still SALT! I love salty french fries and salty chips and salsa. YUUUUUUMMMM!

Gender: Sweet little girl. Anna Katherine :)

Movement:
I have been feeling movement for a few weeks now, but we have gone from little flutters to kicks. I have felt her move from the outside but Brandon has yet to feel it. He sits around with his hand on my belly quite a bit though. :)

Symptoms: Still a lot of back pain and the heartburn is starting to rear its ugly head. Yuck.

Dr. Update: We will see Dr. Gernt on Monday for the big anatomy scan. I am looking forward to seeing our sweet baby girl again!

Baby the size of a pear.

Baby the size of a bell pepper.

Owen wanted his "belly picture" taken too!
His baby is the size of a hot dog with cheese :)

Ultrasound Pics {taken at 16 weeks}

I have been waiting to get these for two weeks!
They were worth the wait. She looks perfect. I am so in love already.

Leg? Not Sure here.

There is absolutely NO denying that she is a girl.

Blowing Bubbles?

Arm up… just like her brother did.

Not sure what I am looking at here…but it looks uncomfortable.

Sweet little thing sucking her thumb.

Another between the leg shot.

Baby Maynord Gender Reveal

Hello Blogger Friends! I am here with some incredibly exciting news…Gender is revealed! This past Thursday I had an elective ultrasound at 16 weeks. The ultrasound tech, Jessie, came to our home and hooked up the sonogram machine to our TV. I absolutely loved having this laid back intimate experience without a doctor's office on the other side of the door. After some close examination, she said she was 100% sure that she knew the gender. After some discussion between Brandon and myself, we (well, Brandon---I was having a cow to know RIGHT THEN) decided that we were not going to find out the gender during the ultrasound, and instead have Jessie write it down and seal it in an envelope for us to open on Friday at our Gender Reveal party.
The sealed envelope with the results.

Party City took the sealed envelope and filled our "surprise" box with balloons…Blue or Pink? This was the longest 48 hour wait EVER. I passed the time by decorating our house for the "BIG" reveal party.

FINALLY Friday came and I was incredibly anxious…I wonder why?
Our amazing friends and family came to support us and wait for the reveal.
